Getting it together
A bit of a shock this morning, when I realised just how soon the fundraising deadline is coming up. Glad I managed to finish my TEFL course this weekend as I think I’m going to need to devote a bi more time to training and fundraising. Not a bad training week, last week. I got a solid 5 runs fitted in around work and the weekend runs went really well. I’ve ordered a hydration backpack for the long runs (vango sprint from amazon.co.uk - £16! Cheap!). I hate carrying a bottle and I’ve thought about one of these for a while.
It’s time to properly start training now. Training schedule, running playlists and any running tips I pick up will be going on here.
See you next time, ladies and gents.
It’s been a while…
…and a few runs have been left unlogged.
They will always be here: http://runkeeper.com/user/joecooper/
I will try and be better at keeping this running blog, though.I’ll also do my best to fit in training around work, very difficult at the mo.
Happy new year!
This is the result of a treadmill incident on my second day of running. Stupidly I decided to close my eyes on the treadmill and nearly fell off it looking like an absolute tool in the gym. I did my 4 miles for the second second day of training and all going well. Beautiful.
First run
Today was the first run of my pre-training (base building) for the London 2012 marathon. The idea is that this eases me into my proper training and allows me to get used to training properly again. It will also give me a chance to get used to blogging my training, and generally getting people on board. I’m not going to go into details of who I am and why I’m doing this just yet, but that will come at some point.
Armed with a shiny new iPhone and tracked using Runkeeper, this is my first run http://runkeeper.com/user/joecooper/activity/57516633 - it was harder than I thought it would be.
